Now Accepting Applications for AJOT Associate Editors

The American Journal of Occupational Therapy (AJOT), an official publication of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), invites candidates to apply for open Associate Editor positions with the journal. The primary mission of AJOT is to publish peer-reviewed research examining the effectiveness and efficiency of occupational therapy practice so that occupational therapy professionals can make informed, evidence-based decisions about best practice.

Associate Editors play a key role in maintaining and building AJOT’s reputation for publishing high-quality research as well as supporting the mission and vision of AOTA. General responsibilities will include screening article submissions, soliciting reviewers, working with authors and reviewers throughout the peer-review process, and working with the Editor-in-Chief and other members of the Editorial Board to achieve AJOT’s primary mission. This is a volunteer position.

Experience conducting research and publishing in peer-reviewed journals is required. Preference will be given to individuals who have served as official reviewers for AJOT and who have a proven track record of evaluating and editing peer-reviewed manuscripts. All qualified applicants will receive consideration. Individuals from diverse backgrounds and from underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.

If you are interested in serving as an Associate Editor for AJOT, please send a letter of interest and curriculum vitae by October 15, 2023, to the Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Stacey Reynolds, at reynoldsse3@vcu.edu.
